Youth Program

The “Food for the Soul” Youth Program is a 1 day workshop facilitated on the farm where youth engage in activities led by farmers that help them to to strengthen their understanding of the local food system and ignite their initiate creative abilities. We are committed to offering opportunities for learning and growing for families and especially youth to seed interest and hopefully cultivate the next generation of farmers. We are also committed to food justice. Part of this work involves reconnecting Black and Brown youth to their innate belonging to land and restoring each person’s rightful place of empowerment in the food system. We ask that each participant pay $25. However we offer this programming regardless of your capacity to pay. If this fee is too much we ask that you give what you can. No one is ever turned away for lack of funds. Workshops are held periodically throughout the year between May and November. Hours are flexible and scheduled 2 month in advance.
